Bringing the circular economy closer to high school students

There’s a world of opportunity to rethink and redesign the way we make stuff! A circular economy is based on the principles of designing out waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use, and regenerating natural systems. And now, more than never before, we need to develop the ability to think about the full life of the things that we use in our daily lives and set the groundwork for being able to redesign systems.

As a follow up of a recently training course on circular economy hosted in Berlin, Germany, Europeyou youth workers will organize several local workshops that will be addressed to high school students from our local community. The workshops aim to support young people in recognizing the exciting opportunity that redesigning products, services, and systems have for the future; for exploring how their engagement with the world today impacts the future; and for supporting their decisions around future professions. The workshops will help students explore what kinds of actions each person can take to help design a future that works better and what potential for solving complex problems a circular future holds, in an interesting non-formal educational way.

If you are high school student that is interested to learn more about circular economy and the opportunities that bring to each of us, we are waiting for you on 7, 9 and 11 of September at 17.00h in our place: Av. Isabel Manoja 18, Torremolinos.
